Excursion in eastern Sardinia with a Mountain Guide.

Sardinia trekking The Gulf of Orosei is the wildest and uncontaminated coastal area in Sardina.

We offer a week spent,immersed in the colours and perfumes of this nature, trekking and visiting beautiful areas.

The trek chosen is easy, it has contained vertical height gain and is ideal for people who have little or no experience at all of walking for many days, a minimum amount of training is required.

This trek joins up a few of the most beautiful beaches on the island, where we will enjoy the clear sea and the colour of the sand, and why not, sleep under the stars after having had a swim in the sea.

As well as trekking, we also wish to visit the Nuragic village of Tiscali and the Su Gorropu canyons two of the island's most striking destinations: the first is situated on the bottom of a magnificent doline, a natural fortress, where the remains of this legendary village are hidden; the second consists of an impressive and deep canyon at the bottom of mount Oddeu, which has a few overhanging walls which are more than 450 m high.

Finally, for those who wish to, there is the possibility of climbing on the fabulous Sardinia limestone.

 

Sardinia trekking programme

Day 1: meeting point at 7.30 pm at the port of Livorno, with ferry departure from Livorno to Olbia at 10 pm.

Day 2: arrival at Olbia, 8 am, transfer to Cala Gonone. Excursion to the Nuragic village of Tiscali (Easy, roughly 3 hours). Dinner in one of the characteristic restaurants of Cala Gonone and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3: 1st stage of the trekking: breakfast in hotel, transfer to Santa Maria Navarrese and start of trek from Pedra Longa towards Cuile Duspiggius. Dine and bivouac under the starts at Cuile Duspiggius (easy, roughly 4 hours).

Day 4: 2nd stage of trekking: breakfast and departure for the legendary Cala Goloritzè, where we can admire the famous Agugila spire. Dinner with bivouac under the stars, on the beach at Cala Goloritzè (beautiful- easy, roughly 4 hours).

Day 5: 3rd stage of trekking: breakfast and start of trekking for the longest stage of the itinerary which will lead us to Cala Sisine. Dinner with bivouac outdoors under the stars (easy, roughly 6 hours).

Day 6: 4th stage of trekking: breakfast and beginning of last stage of our trek, which will lead us firstly to Cala Luna, the most famous beach on all the island and then to Cala Fuili, where our itinerary will end (easy, roughly 5 hours). From Cala Fuili by car we will then reach Cala Gonone (3,5 km) where will have dinner and sleep overnight in a hotel.

Day 7: breakfast in hotel and transfer to Olbia to get the ferry in the morning. Arrival in Livorno in the evening.

 

  • Included in the price:
    1. Mountain Guide Service for 7 days.
    2. rental technical gear.
    3. overnight stay in hotel at Cala Gonone.
    4. transport on the island.
    5. ferry-round trip ticket: on deck.

 

  • Not included in the price:
    1. petrol for car.
    2. room and board (shared expense).
